#24 – Support Your Shy Child
Every child can be sometimes a little bashful, but complete bashfulness is another thing. There are kids that are socially inhibited to the extreme and who are extremely cautious when they face new situations. If your child is like this, keep on reading this text because we have something important to tell you.
You mustn’t encourage your child’s shyness ever. This can only make your child’s bashfulness and social inhibition worse. We say this because shy children who are encouraged to demonstrate their social inhibition are at a high risk of developing various mental disorders, including anxiety. A happy child is a forward child, not a shy child. One way to stop your child’s social inhibition is to take it out of its comfort zone, but not changing its nature.
