#15 – Encourage Friendships
If you are a parent of a teenager, you are probably sometimes wondering why your child is spending a lot of time with its peers. You may even put on a time limit on how much time your child can spend with its friends and peers. However, if you did such a thing, you should know that what you did was very wrong. Teens mustn’t be disallowed to hang out with their friends.
Instead of discouraging your teen to hang out with its friends, you should encourage it to hang out with its friends. Friendships among teens are very important because through them teens learn adult social skills, such as planning, compromising, and negotiating.
