Not only that strawberries have a heavenly taste but they are also incredibly healthy. Strawberries are extremely healthy because they are abundant in a special type of antioxidants called anthocyanins, which give strawberries their red color.
Now, these special antioxidants called anthocyanins contained in strawberries are able to reduce insulin and cholesterol levels after a meal. Strawberries also improve blood sugar in Type 2 Diabetes patients. This is why diabetics should consume strawberries on a regular basis. You should also consume strawberries because they have been shown to reduce the risk of developing heart disease.
